Company politics
The cableway to the Sněžka Mountain has been operating since 1949, and it is one of the best known technical devices of its kind both in the Krkonoše Mountains and in the whole Czech Republic.
The Lanová dráha Sněžka, Inc., company was established on 1 April, 1997, for the purpose of operating this cableway, and ever since its establishment, it transported more than 90,000 passengers to the top of the Sněžka Mountain and additional more than 60,000 passengers to the Růžová Mountain stop every year.
The company management considers provision of high quality services, safety of the operation, and protection of the environment the integral part of the company's future development and the foundation for good relationships with public administration, the region, and customers.
The company management is aware of its responsibility to create harmonic relations between the company's activities and the environment.
The quality management system (QMS) and environment management system (EMS) constitute the integrated system of the company management.
Quality management field:
- Fulfillment of our customers´ requests and wishes is the core objective of our company; a customer's satisfaction always comes first,
- Customer services are provided in the highest quality; customers are treated by the company's workers with broad hospitality and help,
- The core rules of conduct for the company's workers are positive attitude, polite behavior and conduct even outside of the worksite, highly professional manners and expertise, reliability, and seriousness,
- The company creates favorable work conditions for its workers; workers help each other and that strengthens team method of fulfillment of assigned tasks; employment in the company is a matter of prestige for workers.
Environment management system field:
- The company management considers protection of the environment the integral part of the company's further development and the foundation of good relationships with public administration, the region, and customers.
Core priorities and objectives of the company
- Openly communicate with interested parties in the environmental field,
- Constantly improve environmental profile of the company while maintaining and developing entrepreneurial activities of the company,
- Implement modern technologies that are more environmentally friendly,
- Educate workers on all the levels to higher awareness and motivate them to execute their activities in environmentally suitable manner,
- Decrease amounts of waste and handle their separation and liquidation in accordance with the valid legislation,
- Require environmentally friendly conduct of external companies operating in the company's facility,
- Maintaining conditions of healthy environment binds the company to comply with all requirements stipulated by valid laws and regulations related to protection of the environment and with other requirements, to which it is subject to,
- The organization prevents occurrence of causes of possible damage to the environment and it gradually orients itself on suppliers who are implementing EMS principles into their activities or who already implemented this system and who solved a process of waste recycling or liquidation.
Company principles:
- Open communication with public and public administration authorities is the prerequisite for creation of good relationships,
- Environmental issues have to be solved operatively in the shortest possible time,
- We have to increase awareness and responsibility for environmentally friendly conduct of our workers by their stabilization and self-culture,
- We have to create a feeling of belonging in the workers by creating good work conditions.
